Do You Subscribe to These Marketing Magazines?
Yesterday I attended the exhibit portion of the Search Engine Strategies conference in New York.
Exhibitors were positioned on three levels. I stopped to talk with many representatives, including two Google reps who provided me with full demonstrations of their Webmaster tools.
I’ve visited that area of their site in my office and glazed over the options because there’s so much to consider.
Now that I’ve been introduced to the area by knowledgeable staffers, I can navigate it with no apprehensions. I’ll share some of what I learned in a future post.
There were plenty of marketing magazines available at the event, and each offers a free subscription. Here’s the list.

Attend Worldwide Events in Your Office
You may not be able to attend all of the conferences listed on the Solo Business Marketing events calendar, but there’s an alternative.
Many of today’s events make the live presentations available online, whether in slide or video formats.
For example, the management of Small Business Summit, held in New York City last month, makes this page available for attendees and no-shows like me (I explained the debacle here).
Bookmark the sites for events you are not able to attend. There’s a good chance that a link to the presentations will be available soon after the event ends.

What’s Your Conference Agenda?
Today, I’ll spend my time with other entrepreneurs at the Small Business Summit in New York City.
It will be a welcome change from working on projects in my office.
Not only will there be many exhibitors and business owners available for networking, but there will also be seminars and a variety of items to win, including my book, Marketing Strategies for the Home-Based Business: Solutions You Can Use Today.
I look forward to taking a picture with the winner and autographing the book.
Small Business Summit is listed on the events calendar. Perhaps you’ll also find an event in your area where you can mingle with entrepreneurs and new develop business relationships.

A Place to Find Marketing Products
I encourage marketers in the New York area to put the ASD/AMD Variety Merchandise Show, to be held January 13-15, 2008 at the Javits Convention Center, on your calendars.
This event occurs each year in Las Vegas. It’s wonderful to have this show come back to New York, especially in January when incentive product and merchandise ideas are found in every aisle.
First, read the frequently-asked questions page to learn if you qualify to attend.
Then, register for the show at http://www.merchandisegroup.com/registerNY. I’ll be there. Will you?
A roster of 2008 conferences will be added on our events page in the coming weeks.
